As I trudged up my apartment's common and ill-kept stairs to the outside, I noticed a small fellow attempting the very same feat. I would like to think he was out for a leisurely wander, but the difficulty he was having in attempting to scale step #4 suggested otherwise. He seemed very frustrated, insomuch as a caterpillar can, legs wriggling yet again after losing purchase on the exceptionally dirty vertical surface.
So yea, if you cropped that bottom third off, it resembles what a government satellite photograph of a giant caterpillar attacking sunbathers on a nice sunny beach would look like.
